Climate Disruption's New Record: Carbon Dioxide Levels Reach Highest Point in 15 Million Years

Climate Disruption's New Record: Carbon Dioxide Levels Reach Highest Point in 15 Million Years

405.66 ..HOLY-CRAP !!!!!

... as the old saying goes.. 'records are made to be broken'.. well every person on the entire planet should be wantin for this one to STOP being broken !!

...I first started keeping serious track of CO2 levels in 2005 when they were in the upper 370 range..
..and reportedly 350 is the 'safe' level... and when we're approaching 450.. it'll be GAME-OVER !!!

.. now in a decade I've watched to go up almost 30 points (and it's accelerating)..
..so you don't have to be Einstein to deduce we're heading towards Armageddon outrageously fast !!

..so these guys that control-the-world better come up with a plan mucho-pronto.. like collectively put up a BILLION dollar (or more) reward/ prize money for any of the worlds brilliant genius minds (they're out there), to make carbon-capture an ASAP reality (like freakin tomorrow !!)..

...cause SAS, we ain't gettin it done by reducing our fossil fuel addiction...

BS.. note SERIOUSLY is the only guy of that other sad-sack POTUS wanna-be cabal taking this whole crisis SERIOUSLY !!!

."...the Arctic today is not in equilibrium with the greenhouse gas settings, meaning that we have to expect significant increases in [Arctic] temperature and precipitation even if the level of greenhouse gases keeps at a constant"  ... which it WAY isn't !!

..."Earth's systems are kind of sluggish beasts. It takes a while for the oceans and atmosphere to respond to this rapid rise in carbon dioxide"

...YEA...like several decades !!..
...what we're experiencing today is a result of CO2 levels from back in the '70's..
..we won't know what 405.66 in reality looks like until 2050 or 2060...

..and what will the world's devastating CO2 levels be by then !!   (these charts are terrifying)

...Methane Ice Bubbles In Lake Selbusjø, Norway

 ... great image
... this June while in Norway.. we'll be fairly close to this lake, but probably will not get the chance to visit.. (Kristiansund is one of our port stops)

Ice bubbles in Selbusjø, a lake in Norway
When lake water freezes quickly, it can trap bubbles below the surface. These bubbles, in Selbusjø, a lake in central Norway, were likely formed from methane. Decaying organic matter at the bottom of the lake is eaten by bacteria, which in turn pump out methane gas. If conditions are right, the methane bubbles are captured as the water freezes around them.

Looks pretty this image.. but methane being released in enormous quantities world over is a HUGE issue affecting our ultimate survival.

"... alarming news .. Arctic permafrost holds 30% or more of all the carbon stored in soils worldwide. In reality, the Arctic sea ice is continuing to retreat at a rapid pace...
...the East Siberian Arctic Shelf as a key reservoir of Arctic methane  encompassing more than 2 million square kilometers of seafloor in the Arctic Ocean... and is more than three times as large as the nearby Siberian wetlands that was previously considered the primary Northern Hemisphere source of atmospheric methane...
the permafrost under the East Siberian Arctic Shelf, long thought to be an impermeable barrier sealing in methane, is perforated and starting to leak large amounts of methane into the atmosphere...
..he current average methane concentrations in the Arctic is about 1.85 parts per million, the highest in 400,000 years.”

..it's important you read the full article.. we are in a very precarious point in history.. what we don't do now will have extremely harsh consequences in our very immediate future..

Arctic Methane Release and Global Warming

... and you don’t have to look 85 years into the future to see what a sinking world looks like...
 ...it's happening NOW !!...

Should you want to know why... there are numerous reasons...
...and basically, all boils down to common beliefs.
Most are discussed in the articles listed below.
November 8th will be the most important election of our lifetime.
Imho.. there is only one choice.

Generation Sanders
by Robert Kuttner
The millennial generation has gotten the worst economic screwing since the generation that came of age in the Great Depression. This is the first American generation ever to begin economic life deeply in debt. And this generation also faces a job market in which regularized employment is disappearing in favor of short- term gigs. Sanders much more than Clinton has been challenging an economy of, by, and for the rich—one that stunts the dreams of the young. At the heart of the skewed economy is the Wall Street domination of the rules of the game, and Sanders is the one willing to name that reality and call for its demolition.

First comprehensive, independent analysis shows that incomes would rise, job markets would grow, and prosperity would be more widely shared if Sanders' proposals were put into practice

The Iowa Winnow.. And Why Bernie Sanders is for Real
by Robert Borosage
Sanders is providing the first clear, forceful, populist message and agenda that voters have heard, focused on how our corrupted politics and rigged economy keep us from building a decent, vibrant country of opportunity – where health care is a right, college is free, workers are empowered, big money is curbed, and the rich and powerful pay their fair share. He’s begun to educate a generation — and to transform the activist base of the party.

Greatest Threats Facing The World...

10 greatest threats facing the world in 2014

...there's quite a few lists...

..usually at the top... and while terrorism is without question a most grave threat.. throughout history it has continually existed in numerous forms.. and it shall always continue to do so..
..we could weather its' storm, and that of all others, as history has proven time and again..

...but by a margin so enormous it cannot begin to be measured.. is the threat of..
...'the continued use of fossil fuels' ... and ultimately the resulting catastrophic climate disruption...

..for once the planet is despoiled to such a hostile environment.. it threatens most all existing species.. and it leaves us no way out...

..at some point in the future, we might have been able to relocate a portion of our population to another more hospitable world... but we've pretty much run out of time for such a complex escape..

... and so ... we continue on our present path to 'whatever'..
... and try and make the best of what is surely to be a formidable and most difficult future for all of civilization...

Exploding methane holes in Siberia linked to climate change. Is Alaska next?

...exploding methane hole

All over the semi frozen parts of the globe, as temperatures keep rising, massive, unquantified amounts of methane are being released. We're still increasing CO2 levels in the atmosphere.. but in all probability, it will be methane that 'flips the switch.'

 Methane concentrations up till 2011

Methane, a greenhouse gas more than 30-100 times more potent than CO2, is released from previously frozen soils when organic matter thaws and decomposes under anaerobic conditions (that is, without oxygen present).

The concentration of methane in Earth's atmosphere has increased by 150% since 1750, and now accounts for 20% of the total radiative forcing from all of the long-lived and globally mixed greenhouse gases. According to NOAA the atmospheric methane concentration is now above 1820ppb..  largely due to the arctic (and antarctic) methane releases from melting methane clathrates. Atmospheric methane concentration has not been this high for over 420,000 years.. and correlates to 9 °C average Earth temperature increase.

Arctic permafrost where the accumulation of organic matter in frozen soils covers about 24% of northern hemisphere continents is estimated to contain more than 900 billion tons of carbon. The Siberian permafrost is in particular danger. A large region of the frozen underground (called the Yedoma), will undergo runaway decomposition once it starts to melt.. evidence showing that this process has in fact already begun.

Already measurements along the Siberian shelf uncover enhanced methane release. In 2010 a Russian marine survey conducted more than 5,000 observations of dissolved methane showing that more than 80% of East Siberian shelf bottom waters and more than 50% of surface waters are supersaturated with methane. Atmospheric methane levels (during glacial periods were 300–400 parts per billion, and during interglacial periods were 600–700ppb). And they have recently reached 1850ppb.. the highest level in 400,000 years!!
Evidence of melting of permafrost has also been reported from the dry valleys of Antarctica.

Most of the current permafrost formed during or since the last ice age and can extend down to depths of more than 700 meters in parts of northern Siberia and Canada.

None of this thawing of part of the permafrost [and methane release] has yet to be accounted for in any climate projections.

Earth’s history shows that releasing these stores could set off a series of events with calamitous consequences... global climates only slightly warmer than today are sufficient to continue the thawing of extensive regions of permafrost.

Arctic air temperatures are expected to increase at roughly twice the global rate. A global temperature increase of 3C means a 6C rise in the Arctic, resulting in an irreversible loss of anywhere between 30 to 85% of near-surface permafrost.

Looking to the future.. foreseeing a worse case scenario... the onset of a hyperthermal (a huge release of carbon) such as happened 55 million years ago, during the Paleocene-Eocene period.. with an attendant mass extinction of most all planet species is not an outlandish impossibility.

Keep Looking Up ~~~ Chemtrail Source Material

What is the chem-trail source material?

Does such an explanation really seem all that outlandish?

In the world today, gone so totally 'commercially-mad'.. keeping the status-quo at any and all costs would appear to be the ultimate driving force behind all government and big business decision making.

In this 13 minute video, the basic scientific analysis of coal ash identifies fly ash, which is high in aluminum oxide (about 30%). From the 9 minute mark on the timeline, important information should be noted.

Apparently, coal ash (both types) is difficult and extremely expensive to dispose of, something like a billion dollar problem per plant, according to the video. However, fly ash easily is transported away from power plants by rail-cars.. the very mode of transportation that brings the coal to the power plant to be burned. Trucks and barges also are used in transporting it to bases for spraying.

What seems to be going on is this: Just like fluoride, which is a protoplasmic poison and toxic waste, coal fly ash has been forced into humans too. (We drink fluoride in our municipal water supplies under the guise that it will protect our teeth.)

For at least two decades, have we been breathing coal fly ash.. deliberately being sprayed as part of
massive world wide weather geoengineering programs.

Watch the video.. if anything, at least to store the information away in the back of your mind. Then next time you look up at the sky and wonder at all those lines crossing the atmosphere.. see if you come up with a more meaningful and rational explanation.

Chemtrails » Chemtrails | Geoengineering Watch

"Why is the general public so confused and in the dark about the highly toxic ongoing climate engineering insanity in our skies? Because mainstream media is doing everything it can to either spin the subject or completely omit it from any coverage at all.

Every individual in media that is in any way involved with the cover-up of the toxic aerosol spraying (which is occurring in skies in most regions around the globe every single day) should be held legally liable for their part in facilitating these crimes (once the illegal climate engineering is fully exposed to the public).

Everyone that is awake and aware of this issue is needed to help sound the alarm on the toxic all out geoengineering assault being waged against life on Earth.

We need to make the following point clear to those in mainstream media, we are NOT OK with their attempts to cover-up this extremely critical issue and we will one day hold them legally liable for their part in this cover-up. All of our voices are needed in this fight, every day counts."

Antarctica hits 63.5 degrees Fahrenheit

Once you start to do a good deal of reading.. and begin to truly understand what is happening... there's a tendency to become numb to events going on all around you.
But then every once in awhile you come across facts that are just so eye-popping.. you just have to stop and catch your breath...

... 63.5 degrees in Antarctica !!!

.seriously... putting that number into greater perspective..

..average Antarctic high & low temperatures have historically been within a very close range (usually no more than 10 degrees apart)... that changed dramatically when global warming start
ed rearing it's nefarious head 30-40 years ago...

..from the mid 50's to the late 80's (prior to increasing effects of climate change).. the average high 'summer' temperature in Antarctica was minus 18 degrees.. (folks..saying again, that's an 'average' of -18 !!!)
..so this new staggering 63.5 high is a mind/ world-altering 75 degrees above that !!!

..and with these numbers in play.. we are faced with a serious leadership crisis on every continent.. for this dire threat is pretty much being completely disregarded or underplayed by most all of these characters holding power (political or economic)..

... it keeps on not much longer, the world will go back to a place last experienced millions of years ago.. totally hostile to pretty much all forms of life we know today..

... it's now unavoidable.. there are now, and will dramatically increasing to be 'major' consequences (it's now when and how much.. no longer if)...

...are we that (I'm searching for the word.. maybe)... so asinine.. that we 'take it all the way'..

West Antarctica Glaciers Collapsing, Adding to Sea-Level Rise

We spend massive amounts funding wars & the MIC... yet here in one of the most crucial locations on the planet ... one that will impact all future generations, and impact all life..

NYT: West Antarctic Ice Sheet Collapse has Begun

NYT: West Antarctic Ice Sheet Collapse has Begun

"This is the beginning... God only knows how long it will take to be a major catastrophe." ... we are creating a future world inhospitable to our society, and a majority of all species of life presently on earth,

A massive collapse of an ice sheet in Western Antarctica has begun and, according to scientists, is most likely an unstoppable event that will cause an inevitable rise in global sea levels of at least 10 feet.

The rise will be relatively slow at first, but (by 2100) will ramp up sharply. This could happen sooner, warn the scientists, as the impacts of anthropogenic climate disruption (ACD/climate change) continue to intensify.

"This is really happening," Thomas P. Wagner, who runs NASA's programs on polar ice and helped oversee some of the research, said. "There's nothing to stop it now."

On April 13, the world's leading scientific body for the assessment of ACD warned of a "devastating rise of 4-5C if we carry on as we are."

The rapidity with which ACD is progressing now is truly astounding. Greenhouse gas emissions grew in the first decade of the 21st century at a rate nearly double that of the previous 30 years combined - this, despite the massive economic downturn in 2008.

With full steam ahead for the industrial growth society that dominates the planet, this dispatch reveals another month of dramatic impacts and stunning reports that show, starkly, how humans are disfiguring all facets of the earth.

Yet mitigating ACD is more challenging than ever, and becoming increasingly so with each passing day. CO2 emissions continue to set annual records, and nothing short of a wartime response is warranted. Nevertheless, governments around the world have made, at best, extremely weak efforts towards transitioning away from fossil fuels.
